About

Hi, I'm Taylor. You'll get to know me a lot if you read this blog.

I love stories. I'm a writer, so I probably should. But I think stories are somehow connected to a primal way that we learn. So everytime something happens in my life, I try to think, "What's the story here?" and then "What did that story teach me?"

Teaching people using stories is as old as time. Jesus told parables. Aesop told fables. I tell far less insightful, far more self-deprecating stories.

Sometimes my stories are awesome.

Sometimes they're really, really sad.

Sometimes they're epic novels.

Sometimes they're barely a couple paragraphs.

But they're all true. I change around names, since I write these and don't usually tell my friends I'm writing about their lives. If you happen to be a friend of mine and you see one of these... that means you played an awesome part in my life story at some point.

Hope my life stories inspire you to think about your own life stories.

(FRIEND DISCLAIMER: I'm a little keyed up here--in pure storyteller mode--so if I seem a little rude in my description of you, maybe don't take that at face value? I don't want anyone to get hurt. But everyone makes mistakes and has flaws, and often presenting those flaws is both a) part of the fun of being human and b) part of the way we learn and grow, which is the point of this blog.)
